The Midland Y’s Men’s Club is proud to be a Partner of the Midland 2016 Games
The Ontario 55+ Summer Games is a celebration of active living uniting participants 55 years of age and older in a multi-sport environment. The games take place over 3 days of competition for over 1,300 athletes in 20 sports.
“The Ontario 55+ Summer Games are living proof that Ontarians of all ages can lead active, engaged and healthy lives. Congratulations to the Town of Midland on its successful bid to host the 2016 Ontario 55+ Summer Games. These Games will provide an excellent opportunity for Midland to strengthen its local economy as it showcases the natural beauty of the Georgian Bay area and its sport and recreation facilities to visitors and participants,” stated Michael Coteau, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport and Minister responsible for the 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games.
The Games Organizing Committee was formed and will work with the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport and the Ontario Senior Games Association to plan and put on this massive event with help from a great team of volunteers.
The Games are being hosted in venues throughout the Towns of Midland and Penetanguishene as well as Tiny and Tay Townships from August 9 – 11, 2016.
